Christian Thielemann
Christian Thielemann (born 1959) Thielemann became principal
conductor at the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in 1985. 1988-1992 he served as
Music Director of the Nuremberg Opera. In 1993 he made his debut with the
Metropolitan Opera. In 1997 he became the General Music Director of the
Deutsche Opera Berlin. In 2000 Thielemann made his debut at the Bayreuth
Festival.

Christian Thielemann's Bayreuth Festival Ring has been recorded and will be released on CD
In 2015 Christian Thielemann will conduct a new production of Tristan und Isolde at the Bayreuth Festival. Katharina Wagner will be stage director.
