Iréne Theorin

Swedish soprano Iréne Theorin studied at the Music Academy and Royal Opera School in Copenhagen. She made her Bayreuth Festival debut as Isolde on 26 July, 2008 in Christoph Marthaler's production of Tristan und Isolde.
Iréne Theorin as Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung (The Copenhagen Ring).
She has long been associated with the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, and sings a wonderful Brünnhilde in the so-called Copenhagen Ring, in which she also displays great acting skills.
Theorin made her Metropolitan debut in March 2009.
