Road to the Ring - Events leading up to Ring Festival in Los Angeles
Ring Festival LA is a celebration of the arts, LA style! LA Opera has joined forces with Los Angeles' cultural and educational institutions to stage the first significant citywide cultural festival since the 1984 Olympic Arts Festival.
Ring Festival LA showcases a wide variety of exhibitions, symposia, museum shows, conferences, and special events. All of these events will be thematically related to the first-ever presentation in Los Angeles of the four-opera drama The Ring of the Nibelungs.
15 April - 30 June, 2010: Ring Festival LA
Ring Festival LA events take place from 15 April - 30 June, 2010. In addition, there will be "Road to the Ring" events (see table below) taking place in advance of the actual 10-week Festival.
Ring Festival LA is a county-wide arts celebration with events taking place from Malibu to downtown to San Marino and beyond. For each partner event listed on this website, you can check where the event takes place by clicking on the icon with two feet and a map will pop up showing you the location.
Some events will be free to the public and others will require paid admission. Tickets for reserved seat Ring Festival LA events will begin to go on sale January 2010.
