Referring sites (sites that link to Wagneropera.net)
Of the sites that are linking to Wagneropera.net, the Wagner blog is by far the one generating most traffic. Important are also Wikipedia, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Also the Norwegian sister site Wagneropera.no and blogs like Mostly Opera, Intermezzo, Boulezian and Parterre are visible in the statistics for sites that generate some traffic.
Judged by user behaviour, the "best" visitors come from Wagneropera.no. They visit three times as many pages per visit than visitors from Parterre.com. They also spend more than 4 minutes more per visit than the Parterre.som visitors. Visitors from the Intermezzo blog are generally motivated and visit 3.88 pages per visit. This fades to nothing compared to visitors from The Royal Opera House Homepage with more than 20 pages per visit in average. Unfortunately the number of visitors are few from ROH, so they shouldn't be paid much attention to for the time being.
Visits 2009: the trends

The actual number of visitors I cannot reveal, but the tendency and comparison with last year I can share with you. The traffic makes a big jump when the Bayreuth Festival starts. There is a nice slow rice in traffic, and this is part of the strategy.
