Hannelore Bode
Hannelore Bode actually started her career as a Wagner singer in the Bayreuth
chorus. She later came back and sang Elsa (Lohengrin), Eva (Die
Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Sieglinde (Die
Walküre)
at the Bayreuth
Festival.
From 1971 Hannelore bode sang at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. Here she sang Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) as well as many other non-Wagner roles. In 1977 she became the first Kammersängerin in Mannheim. She has sung at the Wiener Staatsoper, Bayreische Staatsoper, Staatsoper Stuttgart and has had engagements in London, San Francisco. Buenos Aires etc.
