Stefan Herheim - "Director of the Year" for Rosenkavalier at the Stuttgart (Opernwelt)
The Norwegian director Stefan Herheim has been honoured by the magazine Opernwelt as "Director of the Year" for his production of Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier at the Stuttgart Opera House.
Among the five performances selected by Opernwelt to be the most important of the last season, Staatsoper Stuttgart is represented with two more new productions in addition to Herheim's Rosenkavalier: Calixto Bieito's Parsifal and Jossi Wieler and Sergio Morabito's production of Leos Janacek's Katja Kabanova.
